For Parents

Research shows that parent involvement in children's learning is positively related to achievement. Furthermore, the research shows that the more intensively parents are involved in their children's learning, the more beneficial are the achievement effects.

This holds true for all types of parent involvement in children's learning and for all types and ages of students. The most effective forms of parent involvement are those which engage parents in working directly with their children on learning activities in the home.

Here are some simple ways to support your child:

*Create a schedule at home (but be flexible with it).

*Establish communication with the school. We love to hear from you!

*Visit Eagle Creek and get to know our wonderful staff.

*Review the online features of Eagle Creek (such as this website, the Eagle Creek Facebook and PTA pages, Google Classroom, and any teacher webpages).

*Send your child to school ready to learn. This includes having a nutritious breakfast, getting plenty of rest, and arriving to school on time.

*Get involved! At Eagle Creek, we value the role that parents and volunteers have in our school community. You truly make Eagle Creek a better place!

*Prioritize attendance. Being at school everyday (unless you are sick), is vital for students to grow and learn. Plus, we love having your child at Eagle Creek!

*Talk about school with your child. Ask them how their day was, what they are learning, and how you can help. These are great conversations to have at the dinner table!

*We are here to support you and your family! Reach out anytime if you have questions and/or concerns. Or if you just want to say hello!
