Eagle Creek Elementary is participating in the Great Kindness Challenge (GKC) 2017, along with over 8,000 other school across the nation, during the week of January 23- 27, 2017. Students, staff, families, and community members will be celebrating kindness together throughout this week, by practicing random acts of kindness, writing letters of gratitude, cleaning up the playground and doing other thoughtful deeds.
Students will be bringing home Great Kindness Challenge letters and the GKC Check list this week. Students and families are encouraged to do random acts of kindness in their homes and in the community. Students will also be participating in Kindness activities at school during their lunch and lunch recesses.
Our Great Kindness Challenge schedule is as follows:
- Friday January 13th, 2017: Great Kindness Kick Off starts with our Martin Luther King Jr. Assembly, Family Kindness Challenge Letters Sent home.
- Week of Jan 17-20, 2017: Classrooms Create Community Kindness Posters for Downtown Arlington.
- Monday, Jan 23, 20107 - A Kind Community is A Dream Come True! Dress Up: Pajama day & Kindness Events during Recess
- Tuesday, Jan 24, 2017 - Tie on Kindness! DRESS UP: Wear a Tie to School & Kindness Events
